Kenya: Capacity in Public Asset and Liability Management

The National Treasury conducted a sensitisation programme for the Ministry of Defence's Assets Management Standing Committee to strengthen capacity in managing public assets and liabilities. The programme was hosted by Secretary Administration Isaac Masinde and facilitated by officials from the National Treasury, led by Director Geoffrey Malombe of the National Assets and Liabilities Management Department. The initiative aims to enhance accountability, promote prudent use of public resources, and ensure compliance with established policies and national standards. Continuous training of public servants is expected to improve institutional systems and service delivery.
