Charles Jaja, the new paramount ruler of Opobo Kingdom in Rivers State, has outlined plans to pursue partnerships aimed at making the kingdom an agriculture and agribusiness hub in the Niger Delta. He made the announcement during his coronation ceremony on Saturday in Opobo Town, Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area. Jaja said accelerating agricultural development would create thousands of jobs and speed up the kingdom's development, noting that Opobo was once known for a vibrant agro economy in the late 1800s. He pledged that his administration would strengthen economic ties across regions and explore partnerships capable of boosting agriculture and agribusiness.
