A car rammed into a gas store on Arab Road in Kubwa, Abuja, on Sunday morning, triggering an explosion. Witnesses said the impact shook buildings far from the scene, with residents of Dantata Estate, about two kilometres away, feeling their buildings vibrate. The shelter stand and sign posts at nearby Liberty Junction were destroyed in the incident, which occurred at about 6:15am, while nearby shops were also affected and the vehicle was completely razed. The driver of the car and a child were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment, and security operatives and firefighters were on ground trying to restore normalcy.
