Brett Holzhauer traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, for medical and cosmetic procedures after being dissatisfied with the care he received in the United States. He used airline miles accumulated over more than a year to book a round-trip business class ticket. Holzhauer reported that he was pleased with the care he received and paid significantly less than what he would have paid in the US. The trip is part of a growing trend of medical tourism, with millions of Americans seeking medical or cosmetic procedures abroad each year.
