The Oyo State Government has stated that the French Treasury Loan secured for its development programme cannot be diverted for electioneering or other purposes. Mrs Ronke Adedayo, Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde, explained that the loan is implemented under conditions approved by French authorities, with a ring-fenced disbursement arrangement tied to specific project milestones. She emphasized that the financing structure does not permit diversion or reallocation of funds outside the approved scope.
