Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has called on Nigerians to deepen unity in diversity despite ethno-religious, linguistic, and cultural differences. He made the call at an Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday at the Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), also known as Faith Mansion, in Calabar, to mark Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary. The service attracted top government functionaries, religious leaders, and thousands of worshippers. Represented by the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Elvert Ayambem, Otu emphasized that Nigerians must see their diversity as a strength and not a fault line, stating that Nigeria belongs to all and its strength lies in accommodating differences while working towards common aspirations.
