Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, the Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, has urged her supporters to remain calm and steadfast. Her campaign organisation stated that the recent Supreme Court judgment in INEC v. ZLP & Ors does not affect her candidacy. The campaign's Director-General, Barr. Ekele Nwaohamuo, said the judgment has generated different interpretations and urged supporters to disregard commentaries causing unnecessary anxiety. The campaign organisation, after consulting with Nwaogu and legal professionals, concluded that the judgment does not negatively affect her candidacy.
