Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has approved the immediate dissolution of boards, commissions, and parastatals, and terminated the appointments of all political appointees. The decision was announced in a statement by the Governor's Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti. Oyebanji said the move was necessary as his first term winds down ahead of his second-term inauguration on October 16. The affected appointees include Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, and Technical Assistants, while chairmen and members of statutory boards are exempt.
