The fourth Northeast Youth in Crisis Conference (NYICC) was held in Yola, Adamawa State, with the theme "Beyond 2026: Youth as Partners in Localizing Humanitarian Action and Building Resilient Communities in Nigeria." The conference was organised by the Centre for Advocacy, Transparency and Accountability Initiative (CATAI) in collaboration with the Adamawa State Government, ActionAid, and other partners. Addressing participants, Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta reaffirmed the state government's commitment to building resilient and sustainable communities through youth empowerment and capacity building. She commended young people across the Northeast for their contributions to humanitarian response, particularly as first responders during crises, and assured continued government support for initiatives that equip youth.
