Abba receives campaign vehicles from Tompolo, urges North to back Tinubu

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has called for sustained northern support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in the 2027 presidential election, so he can complete his eight-year tenure. Yusuf made the appeal on Sunday in Kano while receiving 50 campaign vehicles donated by Tompolo to support the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement's mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 elections. He said the donation demonstrated Tompolo's commitment and solidarity to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Tinubu's administration, and that the vehicles would be deployed to support the party's structures and mobilisation activities across the state. Yusuf also said the North should allow the South to complete the eight-year tenure, which he described as an agreement among political stakeholders on power rotation, noting that former President Muhammadu Buhari served eight years before power shifted to the South with Tinubu's election in 2023.
