A Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Lisbon was diverted to Lyon, France, after a passenger's power bank battery caught fire midair on Saturday. The Airbus A321-200 was carrying 198 passengers when the incident occurred. The crew secured the battery in a protective bag designed for lithium batteries, and no injuries were reported. The pilot diverted as a precaution, and the flight landed safely; passengers continued their journey on Sunday after an overnight hotel stay. Lufthansa has banned the use and charging of external batteries on its aircraft since January.
