Tinubu’s absence: Nigerians deserve openness, not secrecy – ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council has called on the Presidency to fully disclose information regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's prolonged absence from Nigeria. In a statement by Kola Ologbondiyan, Director of Media and Publicity, the ADC expressed deep concern that as of Sunday, September 27, 2026, President Tinubu had not returned following the expiration of his originally announced three-week vacation, which was scheduled to end on September 21. The party stated that the continued absence, without sufficient public information on his whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding the extension, has generated questions and public concern. The ADC emphasized that the office of the President is a public trust and that Nigerians who elected President Tinubu are entitled to know.
