Zamfara partners XEJet for Abuja-Gusau commercial flights

The Zamfara State Government has signed an Air Route Development Partnership Agreement with XEJet Limited for scheduled commercial flights between Gusau International Airport and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The agreement, signed on Monday, is expected to improve connectivity and facilitate business, investment, tourism and economic activities in the state, the government said. A statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the Deputy Governor, Mani Mummuni, chaired the signing ceremony, while the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Mohammed Nakwada, signed on behalf of the state. According to the statement, XEJet will operate twice-weekly flights on the route beginning next month. “The new air route will enhance access to Zamfara and open greater opportunities for investors, businesses and visitors,” the statement said. Speaking at the ceremony, Mummuni said the partnership was in line with the state government’s objective of improving transportation.
