The Zamfara State Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), has reviewed the implementation and performance of the recently concluded vaccination campaign in the state. The post-campaign review meeting was held at the Iconic University Hall in Gusau and attended by health officials, Local Government Area (LGA) teams and other stakeholders involved in the campaign. Speaking at the meeting, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, stressed the importance of effective coordination and commitment by LGA teams in ensuring the success of health interventions across the state. The commissioner, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Rilwanu Musa Zurmi, commended the teams for their efforts in reaching communities. She urged them to sustain the momentum in subsequent vaccination campaigns. Also speaking, the Incident Manager at the Polio Emergency Operations Centre, Dr Murtala Salahudeen, appreciated the teams.
