The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 17 chairmanship seats in the Yobe State local government elections held on Saturday. The Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (YOSIEC) declared the results on Sunday in Damaturu, stating that 10 political parties participated in the election. The APC also secured 176 out of the 178 councillorship seats, while the Action Peoples Party (APP) won one councillorship seat in Fune Local Government Area and the Action Democratic Party (ADP) won one in Karasuwa. The election was conducted across the 17 Local Government Areas and 178 electoral wards.
