The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has rejected the explanation offered by APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, regarding the federal government's claim of distributing over N600 billion to more than 10 million vulnerable Nigerians through a conditional cash transfer programme. HURIWA described the explanation that most beneficiaries lacked mobile phones, televisions, or social media access as inadequate. The group insisted that documentary evidence is needed to address the fundamental questions surrounding the expenditure. HURIWA also noted that recent attacks in Plateau, Zamfara, and Niger states expose a deepening security crisis.
