Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu has assured Nigerians that the Nigeria Police Force is prepared to provide effective security for the 2027 general election. He cited the peaceful conduct of the recent Ekiti and Osun governorship elections as evidence of improved police performance. Disu made the statement during a press interview at a reception held in his honour and that of CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso, organised by the St. Gregory's College Old Boys' Association in Lagos. The event also featured the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards and the launch of the SGCOBA Endowment and Perpetual Fund.
