Stakeholders in Nigeria's creative sector have cautioned that investments in vocational and practical skills development may not yield significant economic impact unless young entrepreneurs can overcome challenges such as unreliable power, limited finance, and weak access to markets. The warning was made at the graduation ceremony of the 2026 class of Springfield Fashion Academy in Abuja. Speakers noted that training young Nigerians is only the first step in tackling unemployment and expanding small businesses. The Founder and Creative Director of SFA, Blessing Ugwuodo, said the academy combined technical fashion training with business skills.
