Certified hybrid pitch technician Ebi Egbe has stated that Nigeria cannot demand European-standard football quality from its players while providing African-standard inconsistency in football infrastructure. Egbe, CEO of Monimichelle Sports Facilities Construction Ltd, spoke after the Super Eagles' 2-1 comeback win against Madagascar in Uyo. He stressed that not every green pitch is suitable for elite football, noting that a pitch can look beautiful on television but be technically unsuitable. Egbe called for improved facilities to develop elite footballers and the NPFL.
