The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, has urged the Super Eagles to build on their opening victory over Madagascar by securing another positive result against Guinea-Bissau in their second match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. Nigeria began the qualifiers with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, with debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor scoring the goals. Adeboye described the victory as an important start but stressed that the team must improve and demonstrate greater authority against Guinea-Bissau.
