Enugu Air: Mbah’s Dream Makes Douala Closer

On September 23, 2026, Enugu Air operated its first international flight, a 76-seater Embraer E170, from Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu to Douala, Cameroon. The aircraft departed at 12:45 p.m. and arrived about an hour later, where it was received by Cameroonian authorities in a symbolic ceremony. The flight marks a new chapter in Enugu's aviation and economic history. Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah described the development as part of his philosophy of 'connecting the dots' to link Enugu to markets beyond Nigeria.
