Youths in the Jega area of Kebbi State at the weekend destroyed posters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and state Governor Nasir Idris while protesting against the ruling All Progressives Congress. The protesters, mainly youths returning from a football match on Saturday, shouted 'bamaso' (we don't want) and destroyed APC posters and billboards mounted in strategic areas of the town. They also destroyed and broke windscreens of many vehicles belonging to a car dealer located in the area. Security operatives were later deployed and the protesting youths were dispersed before normalcy was restored, while the APC addressed a press conference on the development.
