The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has issued a two-week ultimatum to the Federal Government to resolve outstanding welfare and professional issues affecting its members. The notice was contained in resolutions reached at the association's 46th Annual General Meeting in Calabar, read by NARD National President Dr Emmanuel Ogar. The doctors expressed concern over the slow pace of implementation of agreements between NARD and the Federal Government. They demanded immediate action on issues including remuneration, career progression, professional allowances, excessive workload, manpower shortages, and general welfare.
