COMPPART Foundation for Justice and Peacebuilding has called on the Akwa Ibom State Government to urgently address the widespread vandalism of electricity infrastructure and unconnected transformers across the state. In a letter to Governor Umo Eno, signed by Executive Director Saviour Akpan, the organization noted that vandalism of electric poles, cables, and wires has left numerous communities in prolonged darkness. The foundation stated that the situation has serious consequences for residents and local economies. It urged the government to take immediate action to tackle the problem.
