Sa'adu Dantutture, the Health Secretary of Malumfashi Local Government Area in Katsina State, was abducted and killed by bandits in his hometown of Dantutture, Kafur LGA. The attackers stormed the community around 11 pm on Wednesday, looted shops, and took Dantutture away before killing him. Troops of the Nigerian Army's 17 Brigade, working with vigilantes, engaged the attackers, killing three suspected bandits while another fled. Dantutture was buried in his hometown amid tears and prayers.
