Crude oil receipts by Nigerian domestic refineries increased by 16.75 percent in August 2026 to 683,000 barrels per day from 585,000 b/d in July, according to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). The rise coincided with an 11 percent increase in domestic petrol supply, reaching 50.5 million litres per day. Petrol imports declined by 26 percent to 14.6 million litres per day.
