Israeli forces killed Palestinian militant Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr in the Nuseirat area of the Gaza Strip, according to a military statement on Sunday. Sakr was affiliated with global jihadist organisations and drove the motorcycle used to abduct Noa Argamani and her boyfriend Avinatan Or at the Nova music festival during the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack. Video footage of the abduction was widely circulated after the attack. Argamani was rescued in June 2024 during an Israeli operation in central Gaza, while Or was released by Hamas last October as part of a ceasefire deal. Hamas and allied factions killed at least 370 people and took 44 hostages at the Nova festival.
