The Director-General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Segun Ajayi-Kadir, has warned that manufacturers should not remain in survival mode, stating that resilience is not a virtue in this context. He noted that the exchange rate, currently around N1,400 to N1,500 per dollar, remains a major cost pressure for businesses and consumers. While the situation is less difficult than before, the elevated exchange rate continues to affect production costs and consumer prices amid declining disposable income.
