The Adewole Adebayo-Bugaje Presidential Campaign Council has accused President Bola Tinubu of violating the Constitution over his prolonged absence from the country. In a statement, the council said Nigeria cannot be governed by remote control while facing economic hardship and insecurity. It accused the president of breaching Section 145(1) of the 1999 Constitution, which requires a written declaration to the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives when proceeding on vacation or unable to discharge his functions.
