Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has ordered the evacuation of communities affected by recent flooding in Ivo and Ohaozara Local Government Areas. He directed the State Emergency Management Agency to relocate victims and intensify assessments. The governor also instructed collaboration with federal emergency authorities for relief and rehabilitation. He expressed concern over the destruction of households, farmlands, and livelihoods in Akaeze and other areas.
