Nigeria’s manufacturing upgrade tops China’s economic pact —Consul General

The outgoing Consul General of China in Lagos, Ms Yan Yuqing, has said that the planned upgrade of Nigeria's manufacturing sector is at the heart of a new economic partnership between Nigeria and China. She disclosed this at a reception marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and her departure after three years as Consul General. On March 26, both countries signed the Framework Agreement on Economic Partnership for Shared Development, focusing on deepening cooperation in manufacturing upgrading, agricultural transformation, trade liberalization, green development, and digital trade.
