Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has urged Northerners to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027, arguing that the South should be allowed to complete an eight-year presidential tenure before power returns to the North. He made the call on Sunday at the Kano Government House while flagging off the distribution of 50 branded vehicles donated by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, to support grassroots mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 elections. Yusuf said the North had already completed an eight-year presidential tenure under former President Muhammadu Buhari, who served from 2015 to 2023. He argued that, based on an understanding on the rotation of presidential power between the North and South, the South should also be allowed to complete eight years under Tinubu.
