Colombian police have arrested the wife and daughter of Ecuadorian drug lord Adolfo Macias, alias 'Fito,' who was extradited to the United States last year. The arrests were made in northeastern Colombia in an operation involving the FBI and Ecuadorian authorities. The women are wanted in Ecuador for money laundering, specifically for using shell companies to launder money for Los Choneros gang. Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa and Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella discussed the arrests on social media.
