The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled November 19 to deliver judgment in a suit seeking to nullify the candidacy of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kogi Central Senatorial District. Justice Inyang Ekwo reserved the matter after all parties adopted their final briefs of argument. The suit, filed by aggrieved party member and senatorial aspirant Momoh Yusuf Obaro, claims he won the lawful primary election held on May 18 but was sidelined in favor of Bello. The plaintiff is asking the court to declare him the rightful candidate.
