The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has directed its officials to close operational gaps and strengthen neutrality ahead of the 2027 general elections. INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan gave the directive in Kaduna during the North-West Zonal Interactive Meeting with Staff and Readiness Assessment. The commission also announced that collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) will begin on October 9. The meeting is part of INEC's six-zone national tour to assess preparedness and address challenges in field operations.
