2027: Show us budget for new Army divisions, Makinde challenges Tinubu

Seyi Makinde, the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, has called on President Bola Tinubu's administration to provide the 2026 budget allocation for expanding Army divisions. Speaking at the APM North-Central Town Hall Meeting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Makinde argued that addressing insecurity requires proper planning and funding, not just announcements. He also criticized the Federal Government's economic policies, stating that increased allocations to states have not alleviated hunger and that Oyo State's reliance on federal allocation has risen under the Tinubu administration.
