Former Kogi governor, APC, INEC ask court to dismiss suit challenging Kogi Central senatorial ticket

Former Kogi governor, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have asked a court to dismiss a suit challenging the Kogi Central senatorial ticket. The suit, filed on 29 May by Mr Obaro, seeks a declaration that he is the lawful winner of the 18 May primary election and that his name should be forwarded to INEC as the APC's senatorial candidate. The defendants argue that the suit lacks merit.
