Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo on Monday commenced ward-to-ward mobilisation for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. Okpebholo toured parts of Egor and Oredo Local Government Areas in Benin City despite heavy rainfall, stating he would personally lead the APC's mobilisation efforts across the state. He said although his own governorship mandate would not be on the ballot in 2027, he was committed to Tinubu's re-election because of his political relationship with the President. He was accompanied by his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, Edo APC chairman Jarrett Tenebe, party leaders, government officials and other APC candidates.
