The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a major destination for citizens from African countries, particularly for tourism, business and transit. While many African passport holders must obtain a UAE visa before travelling, citizens of Mauritius and Seychelles currently enjoy visa-free entry to the UAE on ordinary passports, according to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The UAE's official travel database lists ordinary passport holders from these countries as 'Visa Free'. Travellers are advised to have a passport valid for at least six months and to carry necessary travel documents and funds.
