Dr Adedeji Ashiru, Managing Director of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Authority, has identified deforestation and waste dumping as factors exacerbating flooding in the region. He warned that these practices endanger lives and property. Ashiru called for collective environmental protection efforts to mitigate the risks.
