A training program on implementing small and productive farm plots was conducted for farmers in the Teseney sub-zone to boost agricultural production. The theoretical and practical training was based on the small and productive farm plots being carried out by exemplary farmers in Ali-Gidir. Mr. Andmariam Amlesom, a plant development expert, noted that abundant agricultural produce could be collected from such plots and encouraged farmers to adopt the system. Experts highlighted that water and conservation activities, organic fertilizer, and improved seeds significantly contribute to boosting production, and called for reinforced roles of farmers and administrations. Farmers were also urged to develop fruit and vegetable production, as well as poultry and dairy farming, through the program.
