The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied that former State House of Assembly candidates who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday were ever its members. ADC National Publicity Secretary Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, in a post on his X handle, said the individuals were not ADC candidates and described the defection as a political stunt. The statement followed the reception of the former candidates by APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja. The former candidates had said they left the ADC due to the achievements of President Bola Tinubu's administration.
