Kwankwaso announced the visit on his X handle, stating it occurred upon their arrival in Sokoto for the party’s consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections. He expressed gratitude for the Sultan’s warm reception, exemplary leadership, and gracious hospitality. The meeting is part of the NDC’s nationwide engagements ahead of the 2027 polls.
