The Federal Capital Territory Police Command is searching for the driver of a vehicle that rammed into a gas shop, causing an explosion in Byazhin Ward of Bwari Area Council on Sunday morning. Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi stated that preliminary investigations revealed the explosion was caused by an unregistered Toyota 4Runner Jeep driving against traffic. The driver lost control and crashed into a cooking gas plant, triggering an explosion that engulfed nearby shops and destroyed properties. The driver and other occupants fled the scene, but police have identified the driver and are on his trail. The fire has been brought under control, and no casualties were recorded.
