Samuel Johnson, a recipient of the federal government's Students Venture Capital Grant, has launched a virtual learning platform called Etude to boost digital education. The federal government, through the Ministry of Youth Development, launched the S-VCG initiative in 2025, providing up to N50 million in equity-free funding to student-led ventures. Johnson, a post-graduate student of the University of Lagos, was among the selected winners of the grant after pitching his idea. With his 28 staff under WalterSam Technologies, he developed the educational platform aimed at improving learning outcomes and academic excellence, which allows users to access tutorial videos and take Computer Based Examinations.
