FIFA has accused UEFA of conducting a misinformation campaign in a legal dispute over access to documents related to Gianni Infantino's plan to sell parts of the World Cup. In a court case in Florida, FIFA claims UEFA's attempt to obtain the documents is also aimed at influencing next year's FIFA presidential election. The plan, which would have allowed private investors to acquire stakes in a commercial subsidiary, was shelved after backlash. FIFA alleges UEFA made false statements, including that Infantino sought personal profit from the proposal.
