Ukrainians say their drone-on-drone war is clocking speeds faster than Formula 1 cars

A new Ukrainian report says an interceptor drone took down a target at 264 mph, a speed fast enough to cross the length of a football field in less than a second. The report came from the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, a volunteer organization that supplies Ukraine's military, which posted thermal footage shot from a drone approaching another uncrewed system above the clouds. The target's shape closely resembles the Geran-5, a Russian one-way attack drone that resembles and shares many characteristics with cruise missiles and is said to fly at speeds of up to 373 mph. The Geran-5 uses a turbojet engine that Ukrainian intelligence says is a Chinese product.
