Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 41 travellers who were abducted by bandits in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The victims, comprising 24 males, 10 females, and seven children, were travelling from Senegal to Kano when their vehicle broke down. Bandits took advantage of the breakdown to attack and attempted to move the passengers into the surrounding area. The troops acted on intelligence, engaged the armed men, and forced them to abandon the victims.
