Abia State Governor Alex Otti has advised Ndigbo to respond to the growing presence of Chinese nationals in retail business by shifting from conventional trading to manufacturing and digital commerce. He made the call at the Igbo Day lecture and dinner organised by Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide in Umuahia. Otti said the changing face of commerce should compel Ndigbo to rethink their economic strategy rather than engage in a struggle to preserve the old model of trading. He noted that Abia was positioning itself as a manufacturing and technology hub.
