Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has said his former club do not deserve to be awarded Premier League titles retrospectively if rivals Manchester City are stripped of them due to financial-rule breaches. Rooney was part of the Manchester United side that finished runners-up to City in the 2011-12 season but stated he would not feel comfortable receiving the title years later because United did not finish first. Manchester City have been found guilty of the majority of the 115 charges brought against them by the Premier League, with sanctions yet to be announced and the club planning to appeal.
